Pre wedding meet

It is a while since we blogged, so here is an update. Things have been very busy preparing for the next two weeks which sees us zig zagging the country to shoot four weddings.

The first of these weddings is Joy & Brian who are getting married on 8/8/08 at Judges Hotel (Kirklevington Hall) in Yarm. This is our second wedding of the year at Judges, and we look forward to returning. It is a beautiful country house with amazing grounds and a stream running through it. Each room even has a goldfish in it!

The following day we are off to Wiltshire for Julia & Simon’s wedding at Wellington Barn. Marc shot their engagement shoot recently at the Cotswald water park. Wellington Barn sits in the countryside and is a fab venue.

The following weekend we have two more weddings. The first is Martin & Jackie who are getting married at the Calf’s Head nr Clitheroe. Another countryside location, with a beautiful outdoor gazebo where the wedding ceremony will take place. Then it is a quick dash to Norwich where we are photographing the wedding of Tracy & Paul at the beautiful Brasted’s venue.

We will then be taking a hard earned rest, flying to Texas (which is our second home!) and relaxing for 2 weeks (or maybe doing some DIY on the house). We shall therefore be working on processing weddings during this period but will be out of phone and email contact. Please do leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible on our return.

Below is one of my favourite images from Susan & Ian’s wedding at Judges, Yarm.  We are very excited that Joy & Brian asked us to photograph their wedding back at Judges!

Pre wedding meet - 11th July 2008

Marc and I spent Friday afternoon in East Anglia. Our first port of call was Brasteds (www.brasteds.co.uk) where the wedding of Tracy & Paul will take place on 16th August. This is a lovely venue in the countryside just outside of Norwich and we are very excited at the photographic possibilities!

We then went to a small village pub to meet up with Tracy and Paul for the first time. We spent a great couple of hours chatting about all sorts of things (including the wedding!). Some couples have asked us whether a pre-wedding consultation is really necessary, and we encourage everyone to meet up with us. It allows couples to get to know us and for us to get to know them. We now know that Paul loves Skiing (and his motorbike) and Tracy runs a dance troupe who will be performing at their wedding. Above all, we know far more about them both, that they are an incredibly fun couple and that they want this to reflect in their wedding. We hope that their photography will show their great personalities!

We look forward to our next trip to Norwich on August 16th which will be Tracy and Paul’s big day - look out on the blog for some teaser images soon after the wedding.
