Jo & Jason’s Engagement Shoot

This morning was spent on the banks of the River Wear in Durham this morning with Jo & Jason. They are getting married in January at The Shireburn Arms Hotel (http://www.shireburnarmshotel.com/) near Clitheroe. Today was their engagement shoot, and whilst I was worried about the weather there was no need to, it turned out fine. The rest of the morning gave plenty of laughs and some great shots.

Jo & Jason are a great couple to work with and have bundles of energy, I can’t wait to photograph their wedding day. Here are some images from the shoot:

Tracy & Paul’s wedding - Brasteds Norwich

Yesterday we had the pleasure of spending the whole day with Tracy & Paul and their family and friends. The weather was glorious for the wedding which was held at Brasteds restaurant, just outside of Norwich. The theme of the wedding was black and white, the venue looked amazing, the guests all wore black and white and there was hundreds of balloons. Victoria spent the morning with Tracy and her lovely flowergirl and pageboy, whilst Marc went off with the Groom and his groomsmen.

The civil ceremony was lovely, with a special song sang by Vicky (who also did Tracy’s makeup) and the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to the theme from Star Wars! An afternoon of fun followed with a bouncy castle on the lawn, a balloon release and then an evening of dancing starting with a performance from Tracy’s dance troupe and then a chance for guests to join in with a ceilidh band.

Thank you to Tracy & Paul for letting us share their special day - here are a few images from the day. Have a fab honeymoon!

Joy & Brian’s wedding - 8th August 2008, Judges Yarm

We spent Friday 8th August at the wedding of Joy & Brian. Joy told me during our pre-wedding meet that the number 8 was a lucky number in China, and that the 8/8/08 was the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Some of this good luck must have rubbed off because the sun was shining for their small, intimate wedding at Judges, Kirklevington Hall.

Victoria spent the early part of the afternoon with Joy and her daughter Faye taking some getting ready pictures. The bride and her daughter were an absolute pleasure to photograph, and the time just flew by. Marc was outside with Brian & his groomsmen, before taking some pictures of the guests arriving and having a pre-ceremony drink.

All too quickly 4.30pm came, and it was time for the ceremony. Joy looked so elegant as she walked into the ceremony room, and a short but lovely ceremony was carried out by Brian the registrar. The next couple of hours saw the bride & groom chatting with friends and family out on the terrace overlooking the beautiful lawns. We then spent some time getting some lovely group photographs, including one of everyone from out of one of the windows.

Joy & Brian are heading off to Venice for their honeymoon. We had a fantastic afternoon with them, and feel privileged to have shared their special day. Congratulations to Brian & Joy! Here is a sneak peak of some of the images:

Pre wedding meet

It is a while since we blogged, so here is an update. Things have been very busy preparing for the next two weeks which sees us zig zagging the country to shoot four weddings.

The first of these weddings is Joy & Brian who are getting married on 8/8/08 at Judges Hotel (Kirklevington Hall) in Yarm. This is our second wedding of the year at Judges, and we look forward to returning. It is a beautiful country house with amazing grounds and a stream running through it. Each room even has a goldfish in it!

The following day we are off to Wiltshire for Julia & Simon’s wedding at Wellington Barn. Marc shot their engagement shoot recently at the Cotswald water park. Wellington Barn sits in the countryside and is a fab venue.

The following weekend we have two more weddings. The first is Martin & Jackie who are getting married at the Calf’s Head nr Clitheroe. Another countryside location, with a beautiful outdoor gazebo where the wedding ceremony will take place. Then it is a quick dash to Norwich where we are photographing the wedding of Tracy & Paul at the beautiful Brasted’s venue.

We will then be taking a hard earned rest, flying to Texas (which is our second home!) and relaxing for 2 weeks (or maybe doing some DIY on the house). We shall therefore be working on processing weddings during this period but will be out of phone and email contact. Please do leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible on our return.

Below is one of my favourite images from Susan & Ian’s wedding at Judges, Yarm.  We are very excited that Joy & Brian asked us to photograph their wedding back at Judges!
